Finally, the Air Jordan 14 is enjoying a well-deserved moment. The Ferrari-inspired silhouette, first released in 1998, was the last Jordan Brand model Michael Jordan wore whilst playing for the Chicago Bulls; thus, it’s always been considered a must-have by sneaker aficionados. And now, thanks to collaborations with the likes of Aleali May and Hong Kong-based streetwear brand Clot, the kick is suddenly appearing on the feet of the style conscious.

The Air Jordan 14 is an iconic Jordan silhouette – it's a shoe Michael Jordan wore both on and off court. Here, I’m wearing the Aleali May x Air Jordan 14 ‘Fortune’ sneaker. The female-focused ‘Fortune’ drop paid homage to Aleali May’s Filipino heritage. Like May, I’m Filipina, so these sneakers are sentimental to me because of what they represent. Simply put, I had to have them.
How does the Air Jordan 14 fit?
In my opinion, AJ14s fit true to size. I would definitely recommend sticking to your true size if you’re looking to get yourself a pair.
How do you style your Air Jordan 14s?
I love the neutral colors of the ‘Fortune’ colorway – you can literally wear them with any outfit. I can see myself wearing these shoes with a graphic tee and jeans, and I can also see myself wearing them with something formal like a blazer and trouser set.
Today, I’ve gone for a relaxed yet edgy look. I’ve decided to style the kicks with a short sleeve zip-up that was also released as part of the Jordan x Aleali ‘Fortune’ collection, some faux leather pants to add some edge and a cute spaghetti strap tank to add a feminie touch to the fit. On top of this, I’ve accessorized with my favorite READYMADE bag and gold and jade jewellery to match the sneaker’s accents.
How comfortable is the Air Jordan 14?
I find Air Jordan 14s to be comfortable straight out of the box, and, after a few wears, they’re super comfortable. It’s also worth noting that AJ14s are easy to put on and take off compared to other Jordans.
How do you care for your Air Jordan 14s?
Suede covers about 80% of the Aleali May x Air Jordan 14, and, as we all know, suede gets very dirty, very easily. So, I made sure to layer them with a protective spray as soon as I got them. If they ever require a deep clean, I plan to use Jason Markk products to lift any dirt marks or scuffs. In terms of storing the sneakers, I place them back in their original boxes after every wear.

The Air Jordan 14 truly is one of my favorite silhouettes. I hold the model close to my heart as I was born and raised in Chicago and this was the last model Michael Jordan wore whilst sporting a Chicago Bulls jersey. I also love the overall look of the shoe. The basketball legend owned a Ferrari F355F2 circa 1998, and the shield and vents of the Ferrari served as inspiration for the design.
Today, I’m wearing an Air Jordan 14 ‘Forest Green’: a colorway that released way back in 2005. I actually bought them on their initial release date, so this pair is 16 years old – if that doesn’t speak volumes about the craftsmanship of the sneaker, I don’t know what does. Why do I still wear them? For one, I personally don’t mind when sneakers age a little as it adds character. Real sneakerheads are proud to own sneakers for elongated periods of time as it gives us a nobody-has-these attitude.

How do you style your Air Jordan 14s?
I like to describe myself as a tomboy who slowly but surely grew into her womanhood. I wear pants almost every day, usually baggy ones. I truly do feel sexiest when I’m comfortable.
The chunky silhouette of the Air Jordan 14 works with my everyday style, and today I decided to harmonize the forest green hue of my sneakers with other shades of green – namely lime green and olive green. I relish playing with colors, textures and fabrics.
How comfortable do you find Air Jordan 14s?
The Air Jordan 14 is so, so comfortable. I’d much prefer to wear a pair of comfortable Jordans than a rigid pair of designer sneakers.
How do you care for your Air Jordan 14s?
My sneaker collection is something I treasure – they’re one of the only possessions I take with me when I move house. So, naturally, I look after them.
I use Jason Markk to clean my sneakers and I have a shelf for each pair in my closet. I’m not sure if it’s the Virgo or past retail worker in me, but I like my closet to look as organized as a retail stockroom.

My Aleali May x Air Jordan 14 ‘Fortune’ are my first pair of 14s. I was keen to grab a pair of these sneakers because I’m a fan of Aleali May – I especially like the way each of the sneaker’s she’s designed for Jordan Brand thus far tells a story. I also must say the color combination of the shoe – beige and jade green – is something I really love.
How does the Air Jordan 14 fit?
I would say they fit true to size! I purchased them in the same size as my Air Jordan 1s and they fit perfectly.
How do you style your Air Jordan 14s?
In my opinion, the Air Jordan 14 is massively underrated. I do hope they become as popular as the Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan 4 as they really do go with a lot of fits. As they’re quite chunky, they look great with baggy jeans, a crop top and oversized puffers; today, I’ve combined all of these elements together.
How comfortable is the Air Jordan 14?
The Air Jordan 14 is very comfortable. Although they look weighty, they’re surprisingly lightweight which means they’re super easy to walk in.
How do you care for your Air Jordan 14s?
